Our charming picnic shelter is the perfect spot for company picnics, large family gatherings, outdoor events, and celebrations. It is conveniently located 30 minutes from Seattle and Tacoma.
Nestled in mature trees next to the Des Moines Creek, enjoy views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Young and old enjoy watching ducks in the Des Moines Creek, strolling the nearby rocky beach, walking the pier, and tree-lined walks on the Des Moines Creek Trail.
The picnic shelter includes nine picnic tables; each table seats ten guests. Access for loading/unloading goodies for your picnic is easy, thanks to a small parking lot adjacent to the picnic shelter. There is a large parking lot nearby. No alcohol allowed.

Picnic Shelter Rental Requirements and Prohibitions
- No alcohol allowed
- No home BBQs allowed
- BBQs used in the shelter MUST have built-in pits
- Picnic shelter guests may use public restrooms next to the picnic shelter; using restrooms attached to other facilities is prohibited.
- Renter may arrange portable bathrooms for their event, with event center approval
